Job Summary:
Position - Senior estimation engineer - Civil
Department - Estimation
Purpose - Prepare project costs for various civil projects to prepare competitive and
profitable bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
• Prepare techno commercial proposals and submitting them to clients or
project stakeholders
• Review and analyze the scope of work, along with all related drawings
• Monitor project costs and adjusting estimates as necessary
• Provide cost advice throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in project meetings to offer insights and recommendations
on cost-related matters
• Maintain and update a database of cost information for various
construction materials and labour rates
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
• Evaluate subcontractors' bids and negotiating contracts
• Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project feasibility
• Collaborate with project managers, project engineers and site engineers
• Analyze project requirements to identify potential risks and cost-saving
opportunities
• Utilize specialized software for estimating purposes
• Coordinate closely with the Planning Engineer to prepare a high-level
timeline schedule along with the technical and commercial proposal
• Share the prepared BOQ with the Quantity Surveyor for
distribution across the relevant departments
• Upon project award, notify all departments to initiate the
preparation of the required project documentation
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related

- • Strong experience in identifying required materials, along with a good
- understanding of their approximate market prices
- • Attention to detail and accuracy
- • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications
