Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive General Insurance Underwriter to join our team in Dubai. The role involves assessing risk, evaluating insurance proposals, and supporting broker relationships while ensuring accurate policy issuance and compliance with underwriting guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of general insurance products and hands‑on experience working with insurance brokers.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Underwriting & Risk Assessment
- Evaluate and assess insurance proposals across general insurance lines
- Analyze risk factors and determine appropriate pricing and coverage terms
- Ensure underwriting decisions align with company policies and guidelines
- 2. Broker & Client Coordination
- Work closely with insurance brokers to manage new business and renewals
- Provide timely quotations, technical clarifications, and underwriting support
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
- 3. Policy Administration
- Review, issue, and endorse insurance policies accurately
- Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards
- Manage renewals and policy amendments efficiently
- 4. Technical Support
- Provide guidance on:
- Insurance products
- Coverage structures
- Policy terms and conditions
- Support internal teams with underwriting expertise
- 5. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with UAE insurance regulations and company standards
- Maintain accurate records and prepare underwriting reports as required
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in the General Insurance industry
- Mandatory experience working with an insurance broker
- Hands-on experience in a General Insurance department
