Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to support the successful delivery of Class 2 residential construction projects. Reporting to the Site Manager or Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising day-to-day site operations, ensuring multiple trades and work fronts are managed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project requirements.
This role is ideal for a hands-on construction professional with strong leadership skills and proven experience on medium to large-scale apartment or multi-residential developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities across multiple trades and work areas.
- Plan and manage labour, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure works are completed in accordance with project schedules.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and productivity on site.
- Conduct daily site inspections and proactively resolve construction issues.
- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate trade sequencing and manage interfaces between subcontractors.
- Assist in short-term and look-ahead planning to maintain project momentum.
- Communicate effectively with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor site housekeeping, logistics, and site access arrangements.
Requirements:
- 7–12 years of construction experience, preferably within Class 2 residential projects.
- Proven experience as a Foreman or General Foreman on apartment or multi-residential developments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple trades and work fronts simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and trade coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Trade qualification or relevant construction qualification preferred.
