The Senior Architectural Engineer is responsible for designing, managing, and supervising architectural elements. This role involves ensuring that architectural designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and compliant with building codes and project requirements. The Senior Architectural Engineer collaborates with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of architectural features into the overall construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and review architectural designs, plans, and specifications to ensure alignment with project objectives and aesthetic standards.
• Incorporate innovative design solutions while adhering to functional, regulatory, and budgetary requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of all building systems.
• Provide technical guidance during the construction phase to address architectural challenges.
• Oversee the progress of architectural works to ensure they meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect architectural elements, ensuring adherence to approved designs and quality benchmarks.
• Identify and resolve design or construction discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure that materials and finishes meet the specified requirements and project goals.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and incorporate feedback into the design process.
• Present design proposals, updates, and solutions to clients and project teams.
• Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
• Prepare detailed architectural documentation, including drawings, material specifications, and design calculations.
• Maintain accurate records of design changes, approvals, and on-site modifications.
• Submit progress reports, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions to the Projects Manager.
• Implement sustainable design principles to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance design processes.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in architectural design and engineering, with a focus on large-scale construction projects.
• Certifications: Professional certification or licensing (e.g., RIBA, AIA) is preferred.
• Skills: o Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
o Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and architectural detailing.
o Familiarity with project management tools and workflows.
