Sales Director (Car Auction/Automotive)
One of our clients (a renowned player in the automotive and car auctions industry) in Dubai is looking for a Sales Director. The ideal candidate must have a valid UAE driving license and the role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of the local market and strong background in automotive sales.
Role Overview:
The Sales Director will lead the sales strategy and operations for company’s auction services focusing on automotive sales and car auction services. The role demands a seasoned sales leader with in-depth knowledge of the UAE automotive market, capable of driving revenue growth, managing high-performing sales teams, and building long-term client relationships.
key Accountabilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
o Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective performance objectives.
o Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge of the automotive market.
Networking and Business Development:
o Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company’s services and expand the client base.
o Identify potential partnerships and collaboration opportunities within the automotive and auction sectors.
Negotiation and Closing:
o Lead negotiations with clients and partners, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
o Close sales effectively and efficiently, driving revenue growth for the company
Reporting and Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and market intelligence.
o Prepare detailed sales reports and presentations for senior management
Social Media Strategy:
o Create and manage a robust social media presence, driving engagement and promoting upcoming auctions.
o Analyze social media performance and adjust strategies to maximize reach and engagement
Budget Management:
o Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources across various initiatives.
o Monitor expenditures and report on the return on investment (ROI) for marketing campaigns
Partnership Development:
o Build and maintain relationships with automotive dealers, sponsors, and industry influencers to enhance marketing efforts.
o Explore co-marketing opportunities to expand brand reach and drive participation in auctions
Responsibilities:
o Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive growth in the automotive and car auctions segment.
o Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients, build relationships, and secure new business opportunities to expand the company's customer base.
o Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize sales performance and customer satisfaction.
o Market Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and monitor competitor activities to identify opportunities for business development and market expansion.
o Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, address their needs, and ensure high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.
o Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead negotiations with clients, finalize sales agreements, and ensure timely contract closures to meet sales targets.
o Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, analyze performance metrics, and present findings to senior management to track progress and inform strategic decision-making.
o Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Requirements:
o Minimum 5-6 years of sales experience in the automotive and car auctions industry within the UAE.
o Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
o Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
o Strong understanding of the UAE automotive market and auction processes.
o Must hold UAE driving license.
o Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
