One of our clients, a leading conglomerate is currently seeking for a Finance and Office Manager for its subsidiary in Dubai, UAE.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Managing the daily accounting tasks of the Dubai subsidiary
· Half-year and yearly closing and preparation of related financial statements
· Preparation of Audit reports for External Audits.
· Maintaining and planning cash flows
· Manage balance sheet accounts
· Establish monthly accruals and ensure reasonableness
· Preparatory and supporting tasks i.e. intercompany reconciliations etc.
· Anticipates upsides and downsides in the P&L and budget controlling
· Maintaining the integrity of data in the accounting system
· Implementation and monitoring of internal controls
· Managing the timely collection of receivables and collection of outstanding balances
· Administration of bank activities (check, review, posting of incoming and outgoing payments)
· Answering third-party requests from banks, auditors, tax authorities, insurances
· Quarterly VAT filings
· Annual ESR filings
· Preparation and communication of financial reports to Regional Director and Headquarters
· Performance of ad-hoc analyses, reports, and reviews for senior management
· Oversee admin & inventory of the region
· Monitor project orders and delivery schedule with suppliers
· HR activities for the region in conjunction with Global HR
Requirements:
· Proven senior accounting experience
· Thorough knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS accounting procedures and principles
· Working experience with SAP Business One preferred.
· Experience with creating financial statements
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
· Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
· BS degree in accounting/or finance relevant degree
· Language skills: excellent oral and written English skills
· Work experience in an international environment
· Able to work in an independent and structured manner
· High level of responsibility, personal initiative and commitment
