Our client, a high-profile entitiy aimed in hospitality industry based in Saudi Arabia is looking for an Assistant Procurement Manager.  


Job Summary:

The position will be responsible for the full procurement functionalities of operations.


Background, Skills and Abilities:-

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's degree, Post Graduate diploma, Professional degree in Business/Commercial, preferably related to procurement purchasing management or equivalent
  • An overall minimum 5 years of experience is required with atleast 3 years in purchasing; comprehensive knowledge in strategic procurement
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to work as an individual contributor
  • Fluent English and Arabic - both verbal and written (able to communicate and deal with all levels)
  • Has overall procurement experience / knowledge (Eg, sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, designing & enhancing procurement related SOP etc)
  • Committed to work and completed tasks within the deadline given


General Duties and Responsibilities:-

  • Develop and administer the goals, objectives, and daily priorities for Procurement department
  • Identify cost savings to meet goals, develop cost modelling and automate costing process
  • Drive cross functional teams on part qualification and work collaboratively with supplier for capacity planning and ramp
  • You need to have all the suppliers on your side, so they go out of their way to make sure your every need and request is solved in your time frame

  • Inventory control
  • Goods receivable – check all stock matches the invoice, is in good condition, acceptable shelf life

  • Able to search and find complex items to fulfil all requests from department managers
  • Warehouse management
  • Prepare weekly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Able to manage stock in and out
  • Manage a team of 15+/- people in the absence of the Purchasing Manager
