Our client, an MNC having it's across the globe is into improving the reliability of rotating equipment, and is looking for a Senior Accountant to be based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.


Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the role is to play an active role within Finance and Commerce as well. The role consists of a range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to financial reporting on behalf of prepare, report and analysis of variable contributions as well as the company’s actual performance as compared to the business budget. The candidate should also supervise the operations of the finance department.


Job Dimensions:


·         The job holder reports directly to General Manager, ME

·         Keeping account books and systems up to date  

·         Compile and analyse data

·         Performing account reconciliations

·         Maintaining the general ledger 

·         Preparing accounts and tax returns

·         Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports

·         Monitoring spending and budgets

·         Auditing and analysing financial performance

·         Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations

·         Financial forecasting and risk analysis


Principal Accountabilities:


·         Ensure financial and commercial requirements are adhered to on a monthly, weekly and daily basis

·         Identify, manage and mitigate financial and commercial risk

·         Budgets and Compliance

·         Gain market share from competitors to grow customer base

·         Maintain / update CRM system to provide an audit trail

·         Support and assist your team members where required  

·         Report of company budgeting duties for the region

·         Management of key accounts

·         Responsibility to oversee local funding and cash management

·         Invest time to understand local compliance and financial regulations

·         Liaise with external auditors and other professional advisors as and when required

·         Assist the formulation of financial forecasts / budgets

·         Any other ad-hoc duties





·         2 years post articles experience

·         Minimum 3 years Management experience

·         Financial reporting

·         Tax Management and submission

·         Accounts receivables and payables

·         Understanding and knowledge of opportunities within the region

·         Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel.

·         Ability to prioritise work and manage projects

·         Excellent negotiation skills

·         Ability to demonstrate an understanding of company forecasting and budgeting.

·         Risk Management

·         Proven record of achieving sales targets  

·         Experience with contract negotiation  

·         Experience within a sales / procurement environment

·         Have experience or an understanding, in the following:

·         Pharmaceutical

·         Oil & Gas

·         Food & Beverage Process

·         Production

·         Regional Industry

·         Customer base

·         Understanding of the mechanical seal market






·         B.com Accounting (CA/ACCA/MBA–Finance will be highly preferred)


Skills & Knowledge:


·         IFRS

·         SAP

·         Excellent communication skills both written and oral

·         Good managerial skills

·         Highly analytical

·         Advanced bookkeeping

·         Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages

·         Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel
