Job Summary:
A leading construction company is seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring the efficient execution of strategic objectives and driving operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction operations, project management, and resource management to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve productivity and service quality.
- Lead business process improvement initiatives, including process automation, digital transformation, and enterprise systems implementation.
- Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation through data-driven decision-making and performance management.
- Manage operational risks, HSSE compliance, and organizational performance across projects.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
- Build and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or LEED are an advantage.
- 22–25 years of progressive experience in operations management, including 5–7 years in a senior leadership role within the construction and projects industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in operational excellence, process improvement, digital transformation, and enterprise systems implementation.
- Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource management, quality control, operational risk management, and HSSE requirements.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in construction/project management software, ERP systems, Lean, Six Sigma, and change management practices.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic execution capabilities.
- Experience delivering operational transformation and large-scale construction projects.
