Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced General Chef with strong knowledge of Arabic and Western cuisines to work in a private residence. The ideal candidate should be skilled in menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and hygiene standards. The role requires hands-on cooking expertise, staff supervision, inventory control, and strict adherence to food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare meals according to approved menu specifications and quality standards
    • Measure, portion, and assemble ingredients accurately
    • Develop and introduce new menu items based on seasonal availability and client preferences
    • Assist in meal planning and menu design in coordination with senior kitchen staff
    • Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow
    • Guide and support junior kitchen staff in food preparation, line cooking, and dish presentation
    • Train new employees on cooking methods, hygiene practices, and safety standards
    • Prepare and manage kitchen staff schedules and shifts
    • Order food supplies, raw materials, and kitchen essentials as required
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO method)
    • Maintain accurate stock records and minimize food wastage
    • Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations
    • Monitor cleanliness of kitchen areas, storage facilities, and equipment
    • Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen tools and equipment
    • Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents
    • Properly use and care for all provided personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Monitor kitchen equipment performance and report maintenance needs
    • Ensure safe handling and storage of food and kitchen equipment
