The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring the company’s adherence to all financial and regulatory requirements, including Corporate Tax, VAT, and external audits. This role involves monitoring compliance across all entities within the company, implementing financial controls, and ensuring that accounts align with UAE regulations and international financial standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Corporate Tax, VAT, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with UAE tax laws.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, acting as the primary liaison between auditors and the company.
- Monitor financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards.
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial and regulatory risks.
- Conduct periodic compliance audits to assess adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and advise management on necessary adjustments.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and submit reports to senior management regarding compliance status and key risk areas.
- Provide training to finance and operational teams on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Oversee implementation of ERP on behalf of the finance team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in compliance, financial auditing, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong knowledge of UAE tax laws, VAT regulations, and corporate compliance requirements.
- Experience with financial reporting and audit coordination.
- Familiarity with IFRS and other international accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (experience with Tally and Ms. Dynamics is an advantage).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
